Q: Where can I find cheap Nexium?
Natural solutions have not been working for my GERD.
A: Here is a decent price from Canada. I wish you well!

Q: Could I fill my prescription for Nexium with an oversea pharmacy? Are there any safe or legal pharmacies?
My health insurance doesn’t cover nexium, and I’ve tried zantac and the others but they don’t work as well… Some of the pharmacies in India are selling boxes of nexium for $30. That’s cheap! Is it worth it? Or will I get hauled off to jail?
A: I have bought meds from Sri Lanka. Very good! If you want the store address, email me.
Q: Why do people still get a prescription for Nexium(read details)?
Why do people still get a prescription for Nexium and pay an expensive price when Prilosec does the same thing and is a lot cheaper?
Importantant facts:
1. I’m not a Prilosec drug rep and I’m not promoting Prilosec OTC.
2. Prilosec doesn’t require a prescription.
A: Different drugs work differently on differnet people.
Prilosec may work for you but not for someone else.
Are you a Prilosec drug rep or something?
I find a better cure is using apple cider vinegar cut with some water. It takes care of heartburn and acid reflux almost immediately.
Q: Can an insurance company contact my doctor and change my prescription without my approval?
Medco Prescription Insurance Company has on two occasions contacted my doctors and had my medication changed without my approval. This is really starting to PISS me off. Do they have the right?
For instance, I was taking Prevacid and it was doing a great job, but they contacted my doctor and asked that I be put on Nexium and he obviously agreed because I got a letter in the mail stating the change.
I don’t care if the medication is cheaper, and I don’t care if my doctor prescribed a certain medication because he is getting kickbacks from the pharmaceutical companies. My point is, I trust my doctor, he is the one with a doctorate and he prescribed my medication for a reason. They should have no right to contact my doctor without my approval and change a prescription.
Does anyone agree? And do I have any merit in my argument? Does anyone know the legalities of this? I’m probably being hard-headed, but I’m tired of insurance companies pushing me around.
Thanks!
A: I think it’s totally BS too. I personally think it’s an invasion of privacy. If you have one of the books the insurance Co. sends, I think they call it “Explanation of Benefits” see if it’s written in the book that they have the right to do it.My Insurance will only cover Generic Rx’s and some of the Meds my husband is supposed to be taking don’t come in Generic form. We are unable to pay full price for them so his Dr. will give him free samples.
Q: Substitute For Nexium.?
Does anyone know of any cheaper acid reflux prescription? I have had acid reflux disease since I was a kid, but being an army brat our prescriptions were always paid in full. I have tried Zantac and acephex but they didnt always work, acephex gave me horrible stomach aches too. I have been on Nexium for a few years now, but I got married and just got different insurance. My 30 day prescription of nexium costs me 50$!!! There are no generics for it. Is there another medicine that works like nexium to block acid but is not as expensive and doesnt give me any flare ups? I have tried the diet change, so thats not the issue, it doesnt matter what I eat or if I dont eat, I will always get burning if I dont take the meds. Thanks.
A: The best substitute for Nexium is Prilosec. And as a matter of interest – 40mg of Prilosec does contain 20mg of Nexium.
Some other generics are omeprazol and esomeprasol.
Not endorsed by me.
All the best.

Q: Taking Acid Reducers safe?
Ok, so I have been on Nexium for 6 weeks doc orders. Felt fine. Been off for about 3 weeks and the acid reflux has started up again. Yeah I gotta change my diet but the doc said I should continue with Nexium. This time around it wasn’t free so she gave me a prescription but the stuff is way too expensive. She suggested I try OTC Prilosec for 14 days (cheaper and smaller dose) and at the same time to change my diet a little bit to see if I can control the acid reflux. If after the 14 days the reflux comes back continue another 14 day treatment and again control diet to pin point. If after that its still coming back I’ll go in for a follow up to talk about further treatment.
I mention the warning on the box “Do not take for more than 14 days” and she basically told me to disregard it. I asked her is this safe? And she said yes its ok to take it for more than 14 days. But I then said I read that it could cause problems and she stopped me and said to stop reading stuff on the Internet and self-diagnosing.
Anyone else take these things for more than 14 days? Is it safe?
A: For Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease the recommended Prilosec treatment can be up to 8 weeks.

This drug can have some side effects. And that might be why the warning on the box said not to take Prilosec for more than 14 days. But this warning is only for people who take this drug on their own, without any medical advice or monitoring. With doctor’s help, you are allowed to take this drug for longer than 14 days.
